I.V.Y. AKAnomics Mentoring Program

The I.V.Y. AKAnomics Mentoring Program is a year long mentoring program for young women who are junior high school or high school students to participate in monthly programs including Economic Education and Empowerment; Preparation for Higher Learning; Physical, Mental and Sexual Health Issues; Interviewing Skills, Resume Development and Appropriate Dress; Technology Skills; and, Career Enhancement.  Participation in the program is by application.  Through creative programming, we promote self-sufficiency and foster leadership qualities in young women.  The program culminates with a graduation and recognition ceremony.   Graduates of the I.V.Y. AKAnomics Mentoring Program are prepared to face today’s challenges with a heightened sense of self-awareness and an enhanced understanding of life management.
